Steps for Oracle 19c Client Windows Installation

1. Download the software from Oracle site from below link.

Oracle Database 19c Download for Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) 

2. Unzip to any of destination directory which has more than 3.5 GB free space. 

3. Double click “Setup.exe” 

4. Click Yes 

5. Installation will begin as below, 

6. Select the option “Administrator” and click next. 

7. Select Option “Use Windows Built-in-account”  and click Next. 

8. Provide the Installation directory. 

9. Validate the provided inputs and Click “Install”. 

10. Validate that installation is successful. 

11. Right click the “Installation directory”, Select Properties –> Security  –>  Edit  –> Locations  

12. Select the Server and Click OK. 

13. Search for users and click “Check Names”  –> Click “OK”

14. Validate that Environment Variable Path is updated with 19c Client location details. 

15. Update the tnsnames.ora with the database connection string details. 

16. Invoke Sqlplus and validate the version is showing 19c.
